You have a couple of options when it comes to this amazing programme. The programme focuses around a 7-day adventure package, with the option to upgrade to an additional 3 or 7 day package. This would give you additional nights accommodation at a highly discounted rate. These additional nights in the hostel will allow you to either settle in before your adventure or give you more time to explore after it.

Day 1 is all about getting settled in, sorting your bank card, tax file number and your mobile SIM, so that you are ready for when your adventure starts. Let's be honest, no one likes the boring stuff so let's get it out the way as early as possible. You'll then take a guided walking tour of the city, including a look at Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the Botanical Gardens. Make sure to take your camera, as there are dozens of great photo opportunities along the way. At the end of the day you'll meet as a group for your welcome dinner, with the food and a drink already covered.
Sydney is on the waterfront, and there is no better way to check out the city than by taking a cruise of Sydney Harbour. You will also gather together as a group to enjoy an authentic BBQ lunch. You'll chug around Darling Harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Potts Point, Sydney Opera House, Fort Dennison, Luna Park and Watson's Bay. Take an amazing cliff-top walk with breath taking views, swim at pristine beaches and enjoy the incredible sights of Sydney from the natural harbour.
Head out of the city for a 3 day/2 night trip to Basecamp. Located north of Sydney, the area is famous for its absolutely stunning beaches, impressive sand dunes and an abundance of wildlife including dolphins, whales and koalas. Basecamp is located just 5 minutes' walk from a stunning beach with is home to Josie, a tame kangaroo, who lives on the property. Chill with Josie, take a swim or sunbathe, it's time to relax. At the end of the day the group will get together for a pizza dinner and a night around the campfire.
Jump in the 4WD and ride up to the biggest sand dunes around to try out sand-boarding. Our only advice is to make sure you don't open your mouth when you fall or you'll be chewing sand for days. Next, take a guided bush walk to our favourite lookout, enjoy the stunning scenery and breathtaking views, search for koalas in the treetops and migrating whales in the ocean if you're there between May and November. Settle down in the evening as a group with a BBQ dinner and drinks around a campfire.
Get up close to wild bottlenose dolphins, keep an eye out for turtles too and see if you can spot whales whilst on an amazing Pacific Ocean day cruise. Chill on the deck or ride upfront on the boom net, while dolphins swim just underneath you. You'll head to a stunning beach to anchor up for a swim before heading back to Sydney, where you will check into the group hostel and spend the rest of the day seeing some more of the beautiful sites at your own leisure.
Starting from the hostel, take a cliff-top stroll from Coogee to Bondi and check out the 5 pristine beaches along the way, giving you plenty of chance to relax and swim. Then back at the hostel, you can get all dressed up for a night out on the Sydney tiles. You will meet up at one of our favourite party bars before jumping on our Sydney Pub Crawl bus. You will visit 5 bars along the way in the city and near the beach, receiving a free drink at each one.
Sunday is a great day to chill out and recover from the night before. Get yourself set for the next stage of your adventure and finalise your plans for work and accommodation as your time with the group wraps up.

Working Holiday Visa Eligibility

Although this varies depending on your country of citizenship, in general you must:
  • Be outside Australia when you apply and are granted your visa
  • Not have entered Australia on a Working Holiday Visa before
  • Be aged between 18 and 30 years at the time of applying
  • Not apply more than 12 months before you intend to travel
  • Not be accompanied by dependent children during your stay
  • Have sufficient proof of funds (see below)
  • Meet health criteria (see below)

Sufficient Proof of Funds

You also must have access to sufficient funds to support yourself for the initial stage of your working holiday. Generally, AUD$5000 may be regarded as sufficient, but the amount may vary depending on your length of stay and the extent of your travel. You should also have a return or onward ticket or the funds for a fare to depart Australia. You may be asked to provide evidence. Evidence may include a certified copy of a bank statement and an air ticket out of Australia.

Health Criteria

Depending on your circumstances, you may need to undertake a medical examination, which may include a chest x-ray, HIV, Hepatitis B and/or Hepatitis C test. All required health examinations must be completed before a decision can be made on your visa application. If you need a medical examination, the cost is not included in the visa application fee you pay when you submit your application.

Ranch Add-On

This ranch training program includes 5 days of horseback riding, calf wrestling, sheep mustering, cattle drafting and whip cracking in the stunning Australian outback! You'll have the awesome opportunity to gain the basic skills needed to work on a farm or cattle station in Oz whilst having the ultimate time of your life!

Travel to the Ranch
We'll arrange your train journey to Tamworth, NSW where you'll spend the night before starting your epic ranch training course. You'll meet others in your group as you spend the night together in your pre-arranged accommodation. Your rep will meet you the following morning and take you to the farm.
Horse Riding & Handling
Learn how to ride the Aussie way as you gain knowledge and skills for general horse handling and care. You'll be introduced to the way of natural horsemanship and learn how horses think as you communicate with them. The best part about working with the horses? Taking them for a swim in the warmer months in a local swimming hole!
The lasso is used today in rodeaos as part of the competitive events, such as calf roping and team roping. It's also still used on working farms in Australia to capture cattle or other livestock when necessary. You'll get to learn the art of lassoing as you practice catching cattle with your fellow ranch buddies.
Cattle Mustering
You'll muster cattle from the paddocks to the yard and assist with stock work such as drenching and tagging. A 'muster' is the process of gathering livestock and usually involves cattle, sheep or horses.
Sheep Shearing
Sheep shearing is generally carried out in the Spring on Aussie farms, so that the sheep don't become overheated in the Summer months! A long fleece will become dirty as it drags along the ground which in turn, make the sheep less mobile. During your time on the ranch, you'll have the unique opportunity to shear a sheep from experienced handlers and you'll also get to learn more about sheep health and husbandry.
Meals & Accommodation
Included in this add-on are 5 days / 4 nights of accommodation as well as all of your meals. Evenings are usually spent around the campfire with open air camp oven cooked meals. This is your opportunity to truly experience the Aussie outback in all it's glory. As a quick summary, here's what else is included: 5 Day / 4 Night Ranch Program Travel from Sydney One night accommodation in Tamworth All meals Possible job upon completion
Job Contacts
Upon successful completion of the programme, you'll be granted access to a list of available job contacts which will enable you to source a farm job anywhere in Australia that suits your skills and ability. Most jobs include meals on the farm plus accommodation; you can also expect to earn $200-$500 per week after tax.
