Package Info

Your Arrival
The trusted Kiwi & Kiwi arrival package will help to set you up with those basic things you need before even leaving the UK. So, book on to one of our dedicated arrival orientation dates and you'll ease in to life down under no problem. You'll be picked up from the airport by shuttle and taken to the famous Nomads Hostel right in the heart of Queenstown where you can enjoy a 3 night stay with brekkie. We'll arrange your bank account appointment for you and with our detailed orientation in our QT office, you'll begin to get a well rounded picture of what life is like working in New Zealand. 
Vacancies Board
Our dedicated Kiwi & Kiwi vacancies board will allow you to access and apply for many jobs in Queenstown and beyond. It's a specialised, niche board full of exciting opportunities all waiting for you to apply to! You could work in a variety of jobs roles in fields such as:
  • Hospitality
  • Sales
  • Mechanics
  • Farm work
  • Fruit picking
  • Driving
  • Retail
  • Cleaners
On average, you can expect to find employment within 2-3 weeks of your arrival to New Zealand, so always ensure you plan to budget accordingly. 
Bank Account
We'll arrange your bank account appointment for you with the Bank of New Zealand on the day after you arrive. You'll need a New Zealand bank account for your hard earned wages to be paid into so let us take away the hassle of organising that and we'll set it up for you. 
Big Night Out
Get ready for a night out on the town as you hit the bars and clubs of Queenstown with your new mates! This is a bar crawl of epic proportions and your voucher is included in the package price.

Need to Know


To be eligible for the working holiday visa you must:

  • Usually be permanently living in your country of residence - this means you can be temporarily visiting another country when you submit your application
  • Have a passport that's valid for at least three months after your planned departure from New Zealand
  • Be at least 18 and not more than 30 years old
  • Not bring children with you
  • Hold a return ticket, or have sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
  • Have a minimum of $350 NZD per month of your intended stay available to meet your living costs whilst you're there
  • Meet the health & character requirements
  • Be going to New Zealand to holiday, with work or study being secondary intentions for your visit
  • Not have been approved a visa permit under a New Zealand working holiday scheme before

A few things to know about your Working Holiday Visa

  • You can only take up temporary employment (unless you apply for and are granted an ordinary work permit whilst you're there)
  • You can only work for a period of 12 months or 23 months
  • You can enroll in one or more courses of training or study of up to six months duration in total during your visit
