Where can I work as a sports coach?

Sport is a universally connecting activity, which brings people together all around the world.

The summer months tend to be an ideal time for sports coaches to be recruited, as summer camps all around the world are looking for key staff to guide children during their holidays.

Where you work can be very dependent on what you would like to do in your sports coaching role.

The likes of summer camp in America have a huge range of sports, from the home sports of basketball, baseball and more, through to the likes of soccer, golf and tennis.

Canada and China also need staff for a wide range of sports, with dozens and dozens of different activity roles available.

Do I need to have experience in coaching sport?

Sports coaching requires some form of background or experience within your chosen field.

This does not mean you have to have a high level of formal education, but it is important to pass on the correct, safe and focused knowledge of your chosen sport or activity.

You may have experience leading a children's netball team, or you could be a fully fledged Level 2 football coach. An involvement within your sport is vital to show that you can help lead a group of children to having a great time.
